Thursday, August 9

Today was an eventful day. As you may remember, today was Performance Day, a day for Linda to show off what she has learned. She gave a stellar performance.

The day was marred by a headache which was finally controlled by mid-afternoon.

This afternoon, her Uncle George and Aunt Shirley stopped in. This cheered her up considerably. They talked about the annual family picnic, which she missed this year.

She had a CT scan and an X-Ray to make sure there were no lingering problems. X-Ray showed no fluid on the lungs; CT scan showed no further hemorrhaging. So all that is left is the discharge. Tomorrow morning, she will begin the discharge process and we should be leaving right after noon. We may not go directly home, since Ghurtie's is on our way. (For those of you unfamiliar with the Coralville area, Ghurtie's is a frozen yogurt place.)

Updates will continue after we go home, but they will probably be less frequent. Linda wants you all to know that "I appreciate all you kind thoughts, cards, calls, visits and prayers. You've all been a wonderful support group for me."
